Ready where you are.
If you can’t make it along to our historic Iyengar yoga studios in North London, or just prefer the convenience of online classes, our expert teachers are ready where you are.
We offer a daily programme of online classes for all levels, easily accessible to Iyengar Yoga London members via the Zoom video conferencing platform.
- You do not have to have a Zoom account or the Zoom desktop or smartphone app to attend a Zoom online class. You will be prompted to download the Zoom application software when you click the link we send you – but you can decline this if you prefer, and Zoom will instead run within your chosen internet browser.
- Your device microphone will be muted by default so that background noise does not disturb the class.
- Your device camera must be switched on for the class
- Check that your device is fully charged so you can enjoy the class without loss of power!
- You will receive a Zoom link to join the class by email, 1 hour before the class starts.
- Click the link to join your class 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, so you’re fully ready to go when it starts.
Please note: If more than one person in your household wishes to attend a class and share a screen, please ensure that each person is a member and has registered for the class separately.

Class levels
Beginners
For all new students or those with less than two years’ experience of Iyengar yoga. Basic yoga postures (asanas) are taught to develop strength, stamina and flexibility, and they’re suitable for any age group. You don’t have to complete an Introduction to Iyengar yoga Course first, though we do recommend it. Those with other yoga experience are advised to start with a Beginners yoga class. Teachers can recommend if other levels would be more suitable.
General
For students who’ve been coming to Iyengar yoga classes regularly for at least two years. Work is more intensive than at Beginners’ level and you’ll be introduced to a wider variety of asanas, and basic pranayama.
Intermediate
For students with at least four years’ training in Iyengar yoga, who can maintain a stable Sirsasana and Sarvangasana for at least five minutes and who have established an independent practice. Work will be more demanding than at General level and asanas are studied in more detail.

If you take part in a class with a teacher you haven’t practised with in real life please introduce yourself to the teacher before the class, and let them know your level of experience if possible.
