Our Charitable Status & Structure

Iyengar Yoga London is a membership charity governed by a Board of Trustees. Our purpose is to promote the study and practice of Iyengar yoga for the public benefit.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all income is reinvested into maintaining and developing the centre, supporting teaching, and widening access to yoga within our community.

Annual General Meeting

All annual members are invited to attend and vote at our AGM, where we review the organisation’s performance and share plans for the year ahead.

We kindly ask everyone attending an AGM to review the following AGM Code of Conduct >

How we use our Funds

Your membership and class fees help us to:
  • Maintain and improve our studios and facilities
  • Deliver therapeutic yoga classes, including specialist programmes
  • Provide lower-cost and accessible classes for a wider community
  • Support the teaching and development of Iyengar yoga

How we are Governed

Iyengar Yoga London is overseen by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for the organisation’s long-term strategy, financial health, and ensuring that it meets its charitable objectives.

Day-to-day operations are managed by the staff team.

The Teaching Committee provides advice and support to the Board on matters relating to teaching and standards.

This structure ensures that decisions are made in a consistent, transparent, and effective way, while benefiting from the knowledge and experience of our teaching community.
