What to wear to your free Iyengar yoga taster session
We recommend you wear clothes that let you move freely, but aren’t too baggy. Most students wear shorts or leggings and a T-shirt. You’ll be practising yoga in bare feet, so you won’t need any socks (just leave your shoes on the racks by the entrance to the studio).
What happens after your first class
If you enjoy your free taster class and would like to continue learning Iyengar yoga with us, you can follow up with our Introduction to Iyengar yoga Course – a six week course covering all the basics. Alternatively you can come to any of our Beginners level classes.
Beginners classes
For all new students or those with less than two years’ experience of Iyengar yoga. Basic yoga postures (asanas) are taught to develop strength, stamina and flexibility, and they’re suitable for any age group. You don’t have to complete an Introduction to Iyengar yoga Course first, though we do recommend it. Those with other yoga experience are advised to start with a Beginners yoga class. Teachers can recommend if other levels would be more suitable.
