Silvia Prescott was one of the teachers who played a key role in finding a site to found an Iyengar yoga centre in Maida Vale. She was also one of those who helped raise the money to make it possible. She was a teacher to many of the teachers currently teaching at Iyengar Yoga London and was a talented photographer, documenting her trips to Pune and the yoga conferences she attended.

The photographs here were donated by Silvia to the archive at Iyengar Yoga London.  They were taken in January 1983 at RIMYI in Pune, India when BKS Iyengar was 64 years old.
