Aparecida Earl has been a member at Iyengar Yoga London since 2015 and is a volunteer at The Listening Place, a pioneering London charity that provides free, face-to-face ongoing support for those who feel that life is no longer worth living.
After volunteering for just over two months, Aparecida plunged herself into taking part in the London Marathon with no training or preparation. She simply bought a new pair of trainers the day before what she calls the great adventure.
“At the age of seventy seven, little did I know that I had it in me, such strength, will power, enthusiasm and courage to take on this feat! I definitely owe my achievement to my Iyengar teachers and BKS Iyengar’s teachings.”
Congratulations to you Aparecida for raising £2,000 for The Listening Place and running 14 miles in 5 hours!
